Over view of Sindh tourist spots – Hidden History of Indus valley civilization



Sindh is the birth place of indus valley civilization. Its autism, culture, folkways, fauna,flora and landscape entails it with enhanced beauty and unparalleled mystery. I am going to share few breath – taking memories of these epic stories and journeys.

1.       SHRINE LAL SHAHBAZ QALANDER.      Hazmat Syed usman marwandi also popularly known as lal shahbaz qalander, was a sun saint and religious poet. The veneered saint is highly regarded by people of all religions. His followers hail from across the world and frequently gathered on annual urs.



2.       THAR DESERT.    Thar spans an area of about 175,000 sq km and is the largest desert of Pakistan. It is also unique as it is the only subtropical desert of Asia and the seventh largest desert on the planet. Despite being heavily watered scarce,  the rich culture and tradition have survived in the desert through the ages till date .



3.       GORAKH HILL. Situated at the elevation of 1734 meters in kirthar mountain range, Gorakh hill station is also known as the muree of sindh. The steep ascend of hill station enables the travelers to uncover the most majestic landscape view of sindh.



4.       MAKLI NECROPOLIS is one of the largest funerary sites in the world and is declared as the UN heritage site. It is spread over an area of 10 km near the city of Thatta.



5.       BHODESAR TEMPLE. Located in nagarparker in district thar parker, at a distance of about 4 miles from the city, bhodesar temple is the oldest temple built around 9th century by a jaon women named poni daharo. This temple was built in the classical style with stone with series of steps carved into the rocks.



6.      FAIZ MAHAL. It is one of the mughal architectural masterpiece situated in khairpur sindh. Built in 1798, this place is owned by talpur family. The rich mirs of khairpur built numerous monuments displaying the outlook of glorious royalty and grace.



7.       KAROONJHAR MOUNTAINS. Situated near the city of nagarparkar on the northern edge of Rann of kuch. Karoonjhar range is 19 km of length and attain a height of 305 meters . Mountains presents a breathtaking landscape filled with rich colors owing to heavy minerals deposit including granite and Chinese clay.



8.       KEENJHAR LAKE. It is situated 130 km north east of Karachi and commonly known as Karli lake. It is one of the largest fresh water sources for surrounding areas and Karachi. Tourists also attracts because of it scenery.



Ranikot fort, landswowne bridge, sukkur barrage, Noori jam tamachi also increase the rich history of sindh. One must visit these spots if he wants to see the beauty of sindh.
